About the Journal

The Philippine Journal of Media and Information Literacy is a peer-reviewed, annual research journal on media and information literacy published by the Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL), Inc., the Philippine Chapter of UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance.  This features research articles, academic essays, and book reviews related to media and information literacy practices, issues, and trends in the Philippines.

The Philippine Journal of Media and Information Literacy aims to:

  • Contribute to the development of knowledge and the growth of scholarship in media and information literacy (MIL)
  • Promote research as a way of life among MIL educators, librarians, archivists, media practitioners, and other advocates
  • Serve as a venue for exchanging ideas and knowledge on basic and applied research areas on media and information literacy, digital literacy and citizenship, and media mindfulness.
