About the Journal
The Philippine Journal of Media and Information Literacy is a peer-reviewed, annual research journal on media and information literacy published by the Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL), Inc., the Philippine Chapter of UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance. This features research articles, academic essays, and book reviews related to media and information literacy practices, issues, and trends in the Philippines.
Current Issue
The Vol. 4, No. 1 (2026) issue of the Philippine Journal on Media and Information Literacy brings together a diverse collection of scholarly works that examine the evolving relationship between media, communication, culture, technology, and Philippine society. Collectively, the articles demonstrate how media and information literacy (MIL) extends beyond the ability to access and evaluate information; it also involves understanding how media construct meanings, shape public discourse, influence identities, and mediate relationships within families, organizations, communities, and society.
